Protected Species

With a number of protected species already on our sites and plenty of habitats on others that could encourage new populations, we understand the need for appropriate and professional guidance on how best to manage habitats for these species.

To this end, we have a full-time employed ecologist working within our regional management team who reviews sites of interest, advises the team and produces revisions to management plans based on findings.  Licensed to survey a number of protected species, our ecologist is a vital part of the Meadfleet site management team, helping to define site management plans that progress and develop habitats.  Where appropriate, we also work closely with, and seek advice from external organisations such as The Wildlife TrustRSPB and Natural England.
