To commemorate the 70-year reign of HRH Queen Elizabeth II, Meadfleet donated 70 native oak and lime trees across a number of developments in England and Wales. An assortment of native sensory shrubs were planted surrounding the trees.

Queen Elizabeth II was a passionate supporter of environmental conservation and was involved in tree-planting initiatives throughout her reign. One of these initiatives was The Queen’s Green Canopy which began in October 2021 to mark the platinum Jubilee and over one million trees have been planted in her name so far.

Trees are essential in our landscape as they help tackle climate change, by absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen, along with providing habitats and food for all kinds of British wildlife. Here at Meadfleet, we look after over 10,000 mature trees across England and Wales.
