Our Regional Managers and contractors are always looking for ways they can make improvements to the developments they carefully manage, both visually and for local wildlife.
Wildflower meadows tick both those boxes, with the flowers creating beautiful swathes of colour and essential pollen for our butterflies, bees, and other insects.
Below are some photos received from Oliver Lorberg, our Regional Manager who covers the Devon and Cornwall area, of a development in Northam, Devon.
This wildflower area was sown in April of this year, and the latest photos taken by Oliver in June. You can spot a number of species in the photos including poppies, cornflowers and daisies!
The area was marked up and sprayed to remove any existing grass. This is done to ensure the wildflower seed is not competing with any other species to grow, resulting in a full and vibrant meadow (as you can see from the photos below!)
And after a few short months, this is what the area looks like now:
And it isn’t just us that thinks the area looks great, this is what one resident who lives on the development said:
“I would just like to say what a riot of colour it has been since you planted a wild flower section. It’s been full of birds, bees and insects and has attracted many peoples attention who have just come to look or take photographs. A real pleasure to see.”

We have pledged to measure, reduce and offset our carbon emissions with carbon credits every year. What’s more, we’ve also chosen to obtain carbon offsetting credits, equivalent to more than our estimated total emissions since Meadfleet first began in 1995.
Meadfleet employ experienced regional managers to proactively manage open spaces and respond to customer queries. As voluntary members of The Property Ombudsman Scheme, we offer our customers access to free, independent redress should this be required.
