Meadfleet Celebrates Four Awards for Excellence in Open Space Management

Meadfleet is proud to announce a remarkable year of achievement, celebrating four major sustainability awards across two respected national programmes. These accolades recognise our commitment to delivering high-quality, environmentally focused open space management that supports wildlife, residents, and future generations.

In November, members of the Meadfleet team attended two prestigious award ceremonies—the International Green Apple Environment Awards at the House of Lords and the UK SME Business Awards—collecting four awards that highlight our dedication to biodiversity, community responsibility, and long-term sustainable land stewardship.

Green Apple Awards: Celebrating Environmental Excellence

At the International Green Apple Awards, Meadfleet received:

  • Gold – Property and Estate Management: Residential Conservation and Wildlife Projects
  • Bronze – Habitat and Biodiversity

These awards acknowledge our nature-positive approach to managing green spaces across the UK. With in-house ecology expertise, innovative habitat enhancement projects, and a focus on Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), we continue to deliver exemplary open space management that builds thriving ecosystems within residential developments.

From supporting pollinators to restoring habitats and nurturing community green spaces, these awards reflect the dedication and passion of our teams on the ground.

Success at the SME Business Awards

We were also honoured at the SME Business Awards, winning:

  • Gold – Sustainability Award
  • Silver – Corporate Social Responsibility

These awards showcase our strong environmental values and our commitment to residents, developers, and communities. Whether through educational initiatives, wildlife competitions, or sustainable maintenance practices, Meadfleet remains focused on ensuring our work positively impacts both people and the planet.

A Milestone Year for Sustainable Land Adoption

2025 has been a standout year for Meadfleet’s mission. With over 350 developments and 45,000 homes under our care, our commitment to sustainable, community-focused open space management has never been stronger.

By combining ecological expertise with long-term stewardship, we ensure that our managed landscapes are not only well maintained, but also enriched with biodiversity and designed to flourish far into the future.

“We are proud of our team’s dedication and thrilled that our work has been recognised across four prestigious categories,” said Managing Director David King. “These awards reflect our continued commitment to creating and enhancing wildlife-friendly, sustainable open spaces for the communities we support.”

Looking Ahead

As we continue into the new year, we remain dedicated to leading the way in sustainable open space management, ecological enhancement, and responsible community stewardship. We look forward to developing new initiatives, expanding biodiversity projects, and building on the success of this incredible year.
