Kings Acre Residents Association reached out to Meadfleet regarding the growing wildlife presence in their open spaces. Residents have observed badgers, hedgehogs, foxes, and a range of birds. As part of our Community Fund initiative, the group requested our support through a donation of shrubs to enhance the habitat and further support the visiting wildlife. In consultation with our Ecology and Conservation Manager, Paul Cassidy, a selection of plants were carefully chosen by our South East Regional Manager, Daniel, to maximise biodiversity and ecological value.
Some residents volunteered to help plant the shrubs alongside our contractors and our Regional Manager, Daniel. It was a great opportunity to work together on a project that will enhance the area for local wildlife and residents.
Following the shrub planting, we received a thoughtful message from the Chairperson of the Residents Association, sharing positive feedback about the event and the impact on the community and wildlife.
