Supporting Our Communities

As part of our ongoing Community Fund initiative, we’ve been delighted to support two fantastic spring events hosted by residents on the public open spaces within our developments.

At one of our developments in Derby, residents organised a Community Family Fun event to celebrate VE Day filled with traditional activities like the egg-and-spoon race and hoop challenges. The stalls were all hand-built, creating a community driven feel. We were delighted to contribute to the event by donating funds and providing a wildlife and garden-themed hamper for a raffle, adding a little extra excitement to the day.

Meanwhile, over at another of our developments in Newcastle, residents came together to organise an Easter Litter Pick in their local area. They reached out to us for support, and we were more than happy to contribute easter eggs for the children and refreshments for everyone taking part. It was a fantastic way to bring the community together while caring for the environment.

We’ve been delighted by the feedback received following these events, below is one of the comments we received:

“Meadfleet have helped us with community litter picks over Easter for the past 3 years. We are grateful to their ‘Communities’ team for their support.”

We’re proud to play a part in initiatives like these and look forward to supporting even more community-led events in the future.

If you’re part of a community we manage and have an idea for a local event or project, we’d love to hear from you. For more information about the Community Fund and how to apply, please visit Community Fund page.
